Hollow Axle's a No No

This Axle has about 3 inches in from each end hollow'd out and internally threaded.  Gives a dope look on the bike, cause its all flush and clean.  But I found out that running a ridged and enjoying burnouts as well as hard starts and stops or just simply lots and lots of riding, that this Axle option is no Beuno!  Im back to a solid Axle and hard riding after the half day it took to sort this out.
