Dissasemble Jam

I found this walking to my bike all geared up ready to go meet Jake... Crap!!!

Andy at Pangea was happy on the other end of my phone call to lend a last minute panic hand, and weld up my frame for me, with some added support. Stoked! thanks a ton Andy!!! Back to the ride 2.5 hours later and 40 miles the wrong direction.

Everything was going good, making good time, lots of wind and In and out 15 minutes before they closed at 1 am in St. George was in our sites. Oooops... My chain derailed due to my rear pulley lug backing out, chain locks between frame and pulley, puts me in a skid at 80 mph for about 20 feet then the lugs sheer inside the hub which frees the wheel, so I make it to edge of the freeway safely!!! Beast! Wait 2 hours for a tow truck, get into St. George at about 3:30 am.
Started early searching out parts. With not much luck in St. George we thought best to truck to Vegas and find parts. A huge thank you to Mom and Pop Derrick for showing up in the parking lot of the hotel, not knowing us ( only that were Homies with there Boy) and helping us out by running us around St. George, and offering home cooked Breakfast, so dope! Thank You Thank You!
We opted for a rush outta town so we hit In and Out since we missed it the night before.

After a deep search in Vegas for a Rear ( which had to get machined out for 20 bucks on the spot to fit the sealed bearing wheel hub) and Front Pulley a new chain and wheel with some rubber. Again a huge Huge thank you is needed, Derrick and Jason, man.... I can't thank you dudes enough!!! You saved the trip for us! Seriously!!!
We decide to get back on the road with about 80% confidence and a new look on my whip with a blacked out Mag.
The 7 pm departure outta Vegas put us into San Diego right about 1 am. All in all this stretch despite the huge head wind the whole way was not so bad, but it didn't fail to offer entertainment with a kickstand disappearance between gas stops. Well my helmet serves as a great temporary option I suppose.
So to help explain my last post from my phone. a 12 hour trip ran us a cool 34 hours a couple hundred extra bucks for me, and a lifetime of memories. And we still got to jam back to SLC.

12 hour to 34 hour conversion kit!

The ride started here!! Good looks eh?

Brock broke his steed

Took my bike for a test drive this weekend down to St. George and back. With the minor exceptions of my tank almost falling off, my brains being shook loose and the occasional rear brake lock up I'd have to say it was a perfect ride to work out some of the bugs! So fun. Can't wait for more.

-Peace!

Ran out of gas just passed Beaver... My mind must have been somewhere else! So while I was waiting I snapped these beauties!... Enjoy the bad assness

Jerky Jam

We set out to Tooele this saturday just for the sake of pickin' up some jerky to stuff our faces with. We have lately been on the rides to "find spots" fully trick based rides. So it actually felt really good to just log miles! We had a great jam, thanks to the posse that made it out.

This is the best jerky in the valley (even though it's in the "other valley") well worth the ride out, after we filled up on cow we thought a jam by the local skate park was in order.

Seth had the moves of the day going! Until...
Not a soul was at this small town skate park when we arrived. But a couple cracks of the deck and the local hero comes jammin' in to see who's got a sesh at his park. Then cracks the ill front flip fly out to send us home!

Seth And I had a laughable game of skate!!! Winter legs were not one bit in our favor.

A little bit of call backs and texting while basking in the brisk sun.

Heddin' home after some good jerky, a "can't land anything" game of skate, and some nice mingling with the homies.

Chris Graves... No-Homo Piece

I used to snowboard with this rad kid from AK that moved out to SLC with a group of dudes for school and shredding, We talked one day at an early season session about bikes, I had ridin' my sportster up to the spot so it kinda sparked the conversation. Dude was so into "the knowing" about bikes and talked to me about building his own one day. 8 years ago I thought this was nuts, mine ran because a factory put it together that's all I knew at the time. So Chris's dreams were crazy to me.
So to make a long story Long, we hadn't touched base in a few years and then we connected. I come to find out he had been turning out chops from his pimp tiny garage (gravediggerschoppers) to feed himself while going through school to be a genius. Anyway 8 years ago Chris was the first of the "new" generation of bike crews in Utah, it's cause of him that allot of us started chopping our crap, or got the motivation to step up to a bike. Hats off Homie!!! I appreciate you sharing the knowledge you have with me and the help you have provided me, and the bike and skate sessions that still will come and go. FTW Holmes!
